Coach Derek Hood

Derek hood is a former college and professional basketball player.  Derek attended the University of Arkansas from 1995-1999.  After college Derek went on to play professionally in the CBA,  ABA, and the NBADL.  Derek also played overseas in Italy and France.  Derek was named to the 1995 McDonald's High School All-American Team.  In his college career he was able to become the 2nd all time leader in rebounds in Arkansas history.  He is a two-time SEC season leader in rebounds and a two-time member of the all SEC TEAM.  Derek Hood is a 2015 inductee into the University of Arkansas Hall of Honors.  In his professional career he was a member of the 2003 NBADL (NBA G-League) Champion Mobile Revelers.  With this experience Derek has had the opportunity to play and learn from some the best coaches in college and professional basketball. Derek is married with two children (one boy and one girl).  Derek and Joycelin have been married for fifteen years.  Derek's two children are Derek age 13 and Jordan age 12.
